The deep litter method- It can make a microbial environment.

This environment is formed through mixing microbial strains、sawdust、rice husk and certain nutrients in proportion then make fermentation.

Take large animals such as pigs, cattle, sheep,horses. For example,  A deep litter with an area of 10 Square meters.

1.Prepare materials:

  • Bedding: sawdust, rice husk, peanut shell, corn straw, corn cob. Choose two of the above materials, because the deep litter will become harden if there is only one material. Usually, the deep litter with straw and sawdust. The total weight of the two materials is 1.5 tons, laying thickness is 80cm. The weight proportion of the two materials can be 1: 2, 1: 1 or 2: 1.  It is all right as long as the total dry weight reach 1.5 tons.The deep litter can be used for about three years. 2.Production methods and steps

  • To mix PANGOO BIOBED with some of fermenting deep litters such as wheat bran or corn flour etc with the ratio of 1:5-10.
    Then to spread the mixture evenly 10 cm thickness on the deep litter.

3.Final -period maintenance and management:

  • When the sawdust in the piggery become less, the lacking part and microbial strains should be supplemented properly. For pigs can easily root on the ground, the feed feeding amount should be controlled at 80%of the normal amount. Breeding density should be controlled strictly as follows:

However, a number of antibiotics and other drugs can be gradually reduced. The decrease can reach more than 50% than before. If this technology is used in large-scale pig farms under normal operation, drug usage will be drastically reduced in half a year

4.Precautions

If the bedding is made of only one composition, it is easy to become harden into pieces. Therefore, it needs people to turn it, then virtually the amount of labor is increased. Therefore, resistance to rotting materials is the best choice as bedding to prolong the use of deep litter.
